Public speaking is something I now genuinely enjoy, but that certainly wasn't always the case.

In the October 2026 edition of Aesthetic Medicine magazine, my latest article, Something to Say, looks back at my first experience of presenting at an industry conference and the lessons I've learnt since.

My first presentation was terrifying. I was given just ten minutes to prepare after being asked to step in for someone else, and I was so nervous that I could barely remember what I'd practised.

Today, public speaking is a significant part of my work as The Aesthetic Consultant®, taking me to aesthetic medicine conferences and industry events around the world.

Public Speaking Tips for Aesthetic Medicine Professionals

n the article, I share practical advice for aesthetic doctors, practitioners and industry professionals looking to develop their public speaking skills and become more confident presenters.

I cover:

  • Managing nerves and the physical symptoms of stage fright.

  • Preparing and practising for a confident presentation.

  • Focusing on your audience rather than your own performance.

  • Developing your delivery, pace and presentation skills.

  • Building confidence through preparation and experience.

Whether you're preparing for your first presentation or looking to improve your confidence, delivery and impact on stage, I can help you develop the skills needed to become a more effective speaker.

As I explain in the article, confidence on stage is something you can develop with preparation, practice and experience.
